A new generation of play areas for our children

We're investing around £7m in a new generation of children's play areas in wards across the city over the coming year.

They'll be bright, community-friendly and exciting places for young children to play with their friends and family. Features will vary between each area area based on feedback from local families and local councillors but they'll all include some dedicated facilities for disabled children to enjoy as well.

They're being paid for by Swansea Council with support from ward members and, where available, funding from community groups and other organisations, s106 agreements with developers and Welsh Government play sufficiency grants.

The purpose of the enhancement was to complement the existing wheelchair swing so the layout should be to access the area at any one time.
