Active Older Adult
Physical activity and sport for over 60s in Swansea.
We are excited to be part of a campaign across Wales to engage older adults in sport and physical activity. The 60+ Active Leisure Scheme helps people over 60 to move more and meet the recommended physical activity guidelines set by UK Chief Medical Officer by increasing access to take part in sports and physical activities so that they can live healthier and happier lives. The Scheme is Funded by Welsh Government and Sport Wales (opens new window).
We are working in partnership with our local sports clubs and partners including Freedom Leisure (opens new window) to develop a fun, varied programme of activity across Swansea.
From Rock Climbing and low impact aerobics to health walks in the community, as well as tai chi, Nordic walking and low impact fitness, there's a variety of sessions to suit everyone. Check out the full list of activities and book a place here Sport and Health Ticketsource (opens new window).
More classes are delivered by Freedom Leisure, and you can be part of their Active Community - be active, be social, be you!
