Grass cutting service for tenants
Help is available for grass and hedge cutting if you are unable to do it yourself and have no-one who can do it for you.
During the summer period the priority will be to cut grass. Hedges will be assessed and, unless a hedge encroaches on access, it will not be cut until the winter months.
Our team will schedule grass cutting appointments depending on the location they're working in - no priority will be given to tenants based on when they applied or their personal circumstances.
Who can apply for help?
- tenants aged 70 plus with no family in the household or living nearby who could assist
- tenants with a disability which means they are not able to cut their own grass and who have no family living locally who could assist
Tenants will be expected to verify their disability for example by a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions.
How to apply
You can apply at your local area housing office. Your Neighbourhood Officer will verify your information before sending the application to the caretaker co-ordinators.
