Temporary oversail permit

You should apply to us for a permit if you wish to use a crane, scissor lift, cherry picker or similar, on or over the public highway.

You will need to have public liability insurance of at least £5 million. A copy of the current certificate of insurance must be provided with your application. You will be able to upload an electronic version as part of the form.

Swansea Council is the data controller for the personal information you provide on this form. We are collecting this information as part of our obligation under Highways Act 1980 s169. Your information will be used to help us fulfil our legal obligation and will not be used for any other purpose.
