The archives in Swansea's Civic Centre hold documents, maps, photographs and recordings on the history of West Glamorgan, which comprises Swansea and Neath Port Talbot, including Gower and the Afan, Neath and Swansea Valleys.

This is the place to learn about your local area, trace your family history, research your student dissertation, and much more. Our helpful and knowledgeable staff are here to help you with your research.

We also accept gifts of archive material from the public to add to our collections and help safeguard the documentary heritage of our area.
