Application to transfer premises licence

If a premise has been sold or changes ownership you can apply to transfer the premises licence. You will need to obtain consent from the existing licence holder.

To obtain consent from the existing premises licence holder you should use the Consent of premises licence holder to transfer (PDF) [39KB] form. This will need to be uploaded to the online form so you will need to have had this completed before you complete the application to transfer a premises licence.

If you are unable to obtain consent then you should provide a statement as to why it is not enclosed with the application.

All individual applicants, including those in a partnership which is not a limited liability partnership, but not companies or limited liability partnerships, need to include documents demonstrating entitlement to work in the United Kingdom (please read guidance note 2)

You also need to provide the current premises licence or reason why it cannot be provided.
