SBFLAG local development plan and strategy

The Swansea Bay Fisheries Local Action Group (SBFLAG) is an independent strategic partnership, which looks at the long term, broad-scale issues facing the Welsh coast and its inshore waters.

The aim of the SBFLAG is to maintain a strong vision for Swansea Bay.

"By 2020 we want to see successful, sustainable, economically viable local fishing and associated industries, aware of its heritage, and well equipped to meet current and future challenges."

The SBFLAG was set up in 2012. The membership includes public, private and voluntary and community sectors with a strong focus on the fishing industry and marine/coastal interests.

The Swansea Bay FLAG team is based at Swansea Council's Civic Centre. The SBFLAG Animateur works with the FLAG members to deliver projects and distribute information.
