Hanging basket FAQs

Frequently asked questions about our hanging baskets and floral displays.

Hanging baskets - Rake and riddle garden.

I live outside of Swansea. Can I still order baskets and get them delivered?
As well as delivering throughout the Swansea area, we also deliver to areas in surrounding counties like Neath, Port Talbot, Ammanford and Llanelli. If you live in these areas or closer then you can order online now. If you are unsure, just send us an email at parks.section@swansea.gov.uk.

What type of bracket do you recommend?
The baskets are 14 inches in diameter so we recommend a bracket at least 16 inches long to allow enough space to give the flowers room to grow. We also suggest using a metal bracket and to make sure that they will be able to take the weight of a fully-grown hanging basket that's just been watered.

Are the baskets easy to care for?
The baskets up-keep is mainly water and feed. We have a handy guide of how to care for your basket: Caring for your hanging basket

How long will they last for?
If the basket is well looked after they will last right through the summer to Sept/Oct time.

What will be in the hanging baskets?

Baskets will include a variety of plants and colours and usually consist of a mix of around 20 of the following (dependent on availability):

  • Surfinia Sky Blue
  • Surfinia Hot Pink
  • Red Begonia Illumination
  • Begonia Apricot Shades Illumination
  • Lanai Verbena Apple Green
