Abertawe 2023 establishes our education priorities and how we in Swansea will work in partnership to deliver our vision.

Swansea Council's Welsh in Education Strategic Plan (the Plan) was approved, following a statutory consultation, by a meeting of the council's Cabinet on 20 January 2022. It was then submitted to the Minister for Education and Welsh Language for formal approval. Following feedback by the Minister, the amended Plan was approved by the Minister in June 2022 and by the Cabinet on 21 July 2022.

Quality in Education is a commitment to raise standards of achievement and attainment for all children and young people.

The purpose of the scheme is to define the financial relationship between the local education authority and its maintained schools.

We are committed to supporting learners with healthcare needs so that they have full access to education, including all offsite activities and physical education.
