Welsh in Education Strategic Plan

Swansea Council's Welsh in Education Strategic Plan (the Plan) was approved, following a statutory consultation, by a meeting of the council's Cabinet on 20 January 2022. It was then submitted to the Minister for Education and Welsh Language for formal approval. Following feedback by the Minister, the amended Plan was approved by the Minister in June 2022 and by the Cabinet on 21 July 2022.

The Plan contains our proposals on how we will carry out our education functions to improve the planning of the provision of education through the medium of Welsh, improve the standards of Welsh-medium education and of the teaching of Welsh, our targets for improving the planning of the provision of Welsh-medium education and for improving the standards of that education and of the teaching of Welsh.
