The Premier League

Find out how we are benefiting from Swansea's association with the global brand that is the Barclays Premier League.

We will be taking advantage of every fixture in relation to visiting fans, whilst maximising the promotion of the destination as a whole to UK and overseas visitors.

This is achieved by a proactive PR campaign, an outdoor media campaign to link the media coverage of the home games to Swansea Bay as a destination and also by continuing to grow our online audience by maximising the use of social media.

PR opportunities

It wasn't just the Swans that had a successful first season - we hosted several journalist visits which resulted in PR coverage worth almost £274,000 for the destination and the marketing partners who participated. We'd just like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all those operators who worked in partnership with us by hosting these successful journalist visits.

This season our campaign has a new focus and we're targeting new journalists in key publications, as well as building on our successful social media campaign. Ten journalists have already visited since the season began including The Daily Mirror, Sunderland Echo, More Magazine and Bristol Evening Post.

If you would like to get involved by hosting part of a journalist visit then please contact Tonia Thomas on detailing how your business can help. It could be accommodation, a taster activity, a meal or refreshments - and your business could also feature in the media coverage Swansea Bay receives.

Fans corner match day offers

Prior to each home match we will be promoting our fans corner on Visit Swansea BayOpens new window to visiting fans, journalists and influential bloggers and encouraging them to benefit from our match day Offers. On presentation of a valid match day ticket, fans can redeem various offers from local businesses. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity to promote your business, please submit your fans corner match day Offer to
