Travelling to Swansea
Travelling to Swansea and Gower is easy and takes just over three hours from London by train or car.

Travelling by car
The M4 gives very good access to Swansea. If you are heading for Swansea City Centre from the Carmarthen direction it is best to use junction 47 and from Cardiff direction the easiest route is from junction 42.
The nearest train station is located in High Street which is within walking distance of the city centre. Swansea is well served by high speed First Great Western trains from London and frequent Arriva Wales trains run from west Wales, the Marches, the Midlands and the south-west. There are also local stations at Gowerton and Llansamlet.

Coach and bus information
If you prefer to take a coach, First Cymru operates a frequent shuttle coach service from Cardiff to Swansea and Bristol airport. The service runs hourly off-peak and half-hourly at peak times. There are frequent National Express coaches to Swansea too, from all other principal towns in south and west Wales. The National Express also links with London and Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
