Shop Local Shop Uplands

Uplands has a range of cafes, bars and shops.

Ranging from essential services such as hairdressers, chemists, to specialised photo imaging, and several unique places to eat and drink. Uplands has a lot to offer and has previously been voted one of the hippest places in the UK and of course is the birth place of poet Dylan Thomas.

On the last Saturday of each month, Uplands hosts a street market, selling local food and produce, quirky gifts and much more.

There are a number of parks close by to enjoy after your shopping trip, along with another shopping and eating area on Brynymor Road. Along here you can find specialists shops such as Swansea Sugarcraft and Lolly Bird Vintage and have a bite to at Hoogah.

Shopping and eating locally is one of the things people can do to support their local economy and ensure jobs and money benefit their community. For example if everyone in Uplands spent an £5 extra each week in their local independent businesses, this would generate around £3.3m* over a year for the Uplands economy.
