Horses on beaches

The riding of horses or other animals are prohibited between the hours of 9.00am and 7.00pm on the following beaches:

• Swansea Bay (all)
• Bracelet Bay
• Limeslade Bay
• Rotherslade Bay
• Langland Bay
• Caswell Bay

Please look at the map found on the dogs on beaches page for the location of these beaches.

This byelaw is in operation from 1 May to 30 September (inclusive) each year.

The byelaw does not apply to the following:

• children riding ponies or donkeys led or attended by someone on foot.

Any offenders may be liable on summary conviction to a fine.
