If you are looking for a walk in the countryside or on the coast, then there are lots of routes around Swansea and Gower. All of the routes showcase the best of the county's countryside. With routes starting from 1km to 61km there is something for everyone. Our walks include themed ancient woodland walks and walks accessible by bus.

Coastal walks

Including the Wales coast path, Swansea Bay and Gower section and our more traditional Gower coast walks.

'Walking by bus' walks

Each of these walks can be reached by bus and are from 1 1/4 to 3 miles long.

Rural circular walks

Rural circular walks with slightly longer distances including Cwm Clydach and Graig Fawr.

St Illtyd's long distance walk

A long distance (approx. 64 mile) walk from Pembrey to Margam across varied terrain, canals, woodlands and gentle hills crossing the rivers Loughor, Tawe, Neath and Afan.

Walking near livestock

One of the distinctive features of Gower is the large areas of lowland heath commons where farmers who hold commoners rights are able to graze their livestock. If you are planning walks in these areas there are a number of tips to keep in mind.
