Early Years expansion in Wales
Welsh Government has announced that from September 2022 they plan to deliver in conjunction with local authorities an expansion programme for all 2 year olds in Wales. To find out more visit: https://gov.wales/flying-start-expanded-wales
We want children and young people in Swansea to have a flying start in life, be healthy, be safe in the home, in school and the wider community, be educated, enjoy life, have a voice and make a positive contribution to help improve Swansea.
Working parents of 3 and 4 year old children living in Swansea will have access to funded, flexible childcare which will be available during term time. It will also provide 30 hours of childcare for 9 out of the 13 weeks school holidays.

Family centres provide a range of quality community services to children, young people and families to build and strengthen relationships.
Flying Start is the Welsh Government flagship early years programme for families with children who are under 4 years of age.
Social Services Child Disability Team works with children and young people who have moderate to severe disabilities.
