Thousands of people are continuing to use Swansea Council's one-stop-shop cost of living help website every week.

The website, which first went live in September last year, includes information on payments local people may be entitled to, as well as details on free or low-cost events and activities upcoming in Swansea.

Information is also included on the locations of Swansea Spaces which are offering a warm welcome to residents this winter.

An overview of the various benefits available is on the website too, as well as links to a number of local and national organisations that can give advice on areas like debt and financial management.

Other sections of the website include support and advice on paying energy and other household bills.

Cllr Alyson Pugh, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Better Communities, said: "As we approach the end of winter, this doesn't mean an end to the cost of living crisis, which is affecting so many people throughout Swansea and beyond and will unfortunately continue to do so.

"That's why it's encouraging to know that thousands of people are still visiting our cost of living website every week as we continue to do all we can to provide advice and guidance to local residents and families.

"It's a one-stop-shop website that gives people all the information they need in one place - whether that's details on payments they may be entitled to or government funded schemes to help with childcare costs.

"I'd encourage anyone who hasn't visited the website yet to have a look as it can help people potentially save money and access the kind of support they may need."

Free internet and WiFi use is available at any community library in Swansea for residents who don't have access to a computer or smartphone.

The cost of living help website is available at swansea.gov.uk/costoflivinghelp

Other sections of the website signpost to support for people who have mental health difficulties.

The council is also reminding anyone who's eligible for a payment from the Fuel Support Scheme that applications close at 5pm on Tuesday February 28.

Head to swansea.gov.uk/fuelsupport for more information about that scheme and application forms.
