Festive fun on your doorstep as city celebrates
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Swansea.
There's a host of attractions and activities on offer from the council and its partners to ensure residents have a fantastic festive season.
Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said:"We're helping local families celebrate Christmas with a range of top class activities and attractions. Some are free or low-cost so will help people at this difficult time for household budgets."
Fellow cabinet member Elliott King said: "Our Christmas festivities will help shine a focus on our city centre, attracting residents and visitors in order to support our many excellent businesses that continue to play a major role in our £1bn regeneration programme."
Bringing the feel of an Alpine village to the city is Waterfront Winterland which runs until January 8.
The city centre Christmas Market runs until December 21. Thousands of gift options are also available in the Quadrant Shopping Centre, with its high street stores.
Panto Beauty and the Beast is on at Swansea Grand Theatre until January 15. The BBC NOW Christmas Celebrations play to the Brangwyn Hall on December 14. The Friends of Oystermouth Castle invite music fans to join them on December 17 and 18 for Carols at the Castle.
Swansea's Christmas calendar features a number of free and low-cost attractions.
The National Waterfront Museum is free entry and will host a Winter Vintage and Makers Market from December 9-11.
Swansea Museum has free exhibitions and events including the Museum's Mouse Trail. The Glynn Vivian - free entry - has an exhibition on TV's His Dark Materials.
Swansea's public libraries are holding events free of charge. They include a chance to make your own Christmas decoration at Central Library on December 15.
