Woodwork workshop

An introduction to traditional carpentry and joinery workshop practices and the techniques used in the production of hand crafted products.

Week 1: workshop induction - discuss your projects /drawings as a group, produce material lists, hand and power tool recognition, produce some basic woodworking joints.

Weeks 2-10: work on your own projects. You can also have more than one project.

Previous projects include: sapele art box, love spoons, oak wine rack, arched garage doors, rabbit hutches, bird boxes/tables, ash living room table with glass top, up-cycling unwanted furniture, bedside table, children's work area and stool, Jewellery box, fishing stools.

This is a mixed ability class and suitable for all levels.

This is a workshop where you will work on your own project with guidance from the tutor.

What you will need

A material list will be available from your tutor at the first session. Students will be required to provide their own materials to complete class projects.
