Temporary road closures for road works or for the avoidance of danger to the public.

These may last for 1 day and up to 18 months, with extensions available in certain circumstances.

Following consultation with the police and to allow the safe ingress and egress of supporters for the Swansea City Football Club v Millwall Football Club game (Kick off 19:45 hours) it will be necessary to close the following roads:

A4067 Ffordd Cwmtawe (dual carriageway adjacent to the stadium)

Traffic to be stopped entering the road at the roundabout (RAB) junction to the north of the stadium with B4603 Neath Road and Cwm Level Road and to the South at the RAB junction with B4603 Neath Road. This will close the dual carriageway to traffic in both directions.

B4603 Neath Road (old road running north-south parallel to Ffordd Cwmtawe)

Traffic to be stopped entering the road at the RAB junction to the north of the stadium with A4067 Ffordd Cwm Tawe and Cwm Level Road. Traffic also to be stopped southbound at the RAB junction to the south-west of the stadium with A4127 Cross Valley Link, preventing entry to the RAB.

B4603 Neath Road (from Swansea Centre to RAB junction with A4127 Cross Valley Link outside the stadium)

Northbound traffic to be stopped and prevented from entering RAB junction to the southwest of the stadium with A4127 Cross Valley.

A4127 Cross Valley Link

Traffic to be stopped entering the road at the RAB at its junction with the A4067 Ffordd Cwmtawe, to prevent traffic entering the A 4067 and travelling Westbound towards the Stadium.

Closure of carriageway northbound off the RAB near the entrance to the Park and Ride car park to prevent traffic travelling towards the RAB junction with B4603 Neath Road and A4067 Ffordd Cwmtawe.

Brunel Way at its junction with the exit from the retail park

To prevent traffic exiting the Retail Park and turning right and travelling towards the Stadium. Traffic will be allowed to turn left towards the Enterprise Zone.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

In order for Swansea Council Construction Section to undertake traffic calming remedial works at the above location.

Schedule 1 - temporary road closure Lime Street, Gorseinon

Lime Street in a north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 160 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Millers Drive, A4240 High Street, Cross Street the unaffected section of Lime Street, Trinity Street, Ffordd Yr Afon and Millers Drive, a distance of approximately 1.4 kilometres.

This route will not operate in the reverse direction.

In order for Dwr Cymru to carry out new supply works to property number 21.

Schedule

Voylart Road from its junction with B4296 Dunvant Road in a north westerly direction to its junction with Fairwood Road, a distance of approximately 500 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Ddol Road, Priors Way, Priors Crescent and Killan Road, a distance of approximately 1.3 kilometres.

Similarly this route will work in the opposite direction.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of Brynteg, Quarr Road and Bethania Road, a distance of approximately 620 metres.

Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction.

In order for Swansea Council Highways Maintenance and Parks Sections to safely carry out tree felling operations.

Schedule

B4271 North Road in a north easterly direction from its junction with Burry Lane, to its junction with Fairy Hill Lane a distance of approximately 750 metres.

The alternative route for light vehicular traffic will be via Burry Lane, Cadiz Hall Lane and Fairy Hill Lane, a distance of approximately 1.6 kilometres.

The above alternative route is suitable for light vehicles only, HGVs and PSVs will be required to stop and wait to be chaperoned through the closure.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Church Row, B4295 New Road and Cockleshell Washery Lane, a distance of approximately 1.8 kilometres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected length of Hendrefoilan Road, Carnglas Road, Harlech Crescent, Glan Yr Afon Road, Penyrheol Drive, A4118 Gower Road, Wimmerfield Drive, Dunvant Road and the remaining unaffected length of Hendrefoilan Road, a distance of approximately 4 kilometres.

The closures are required for health and safety reasons whilst works are undertaken repairing, widening and realigning the footpath surface from Rotherslade where the path is in danger of collapse.
