In order for Wales and West Utilities to undertake gas mains replacement works at the above location, it has been necessary to temporarily close the above road to vehicular traffic.

Monday 6 October 2025For a period of 11 weeks or, if completed earlier, until the works are completed. 

Notice - Coast Path (and access paths) between Limeslade and Rotherslade (MU2)

  • Footpath MU2 (Coast Path) from Rotherslade Bay eastwards for 1500 metres to Limeslade Bay. 
  • Footpath MU3 from its junction with footpath MU85 in a westerly direction to footpath MU2 (the Coast Path).
  • Footpath MU5 from a point to the south of 12 Well Field Place to footpath MU2 (the Coast Path).
  • MU6 from the bottom of St Annes Close in a south easterly direction for 175 metres to footpath MU2 (the Coast Path).

The closure is required for health and safety reasons whilst works are undertaken to make improvements to the surface of the coast path.

Monday 15 September 2025For a period of 4 months or, if completed earlier, when the works are completed.

Notice - Clydach (canal towpath/footpath 42)

The canal towpath from its junction with the Active Travel Route at the western boundary of the works (due south of 31 High Street) eastwards for 500 metres to Ynys-Penllwch Road, then across the road for a further 80 metres.

The closure is required to allow the canal to be dredged and maintained.
