Our Monday group, is for adults. Participants can expect to enjoy food, drinks and the opportunity to engage in creative activities. All are welcome. Visitors can use the time to charge a phone, access the internet on their own device, and get support from staff and volunteers.

Wednesday is primarily aimed at parents with children, this is a parent and toddler group. All that attend will be able to enjoy drinks, food, play and creative opportunities. There will be puzzle and colouring activities available. Those wishing to come along without a child, can use a quieter space.

Every Thursday from 10.00am - 12.00pm. Just come along if you are a stroke survivor or a carer / relative of a stroke survivor.

We offer a very warm welcome. The group aim is to support stroke survivors and their carers / relatives to re-discover life after stroke through support from each other and a retired occupational therapist who specialised in stroke rehabilitation for 30 years. We have a mix of chat and talks / activity sessions. Talks can be on any number of topics but Swansea Carers Centre are always welcomed and informative. Activities can include exercise, singing, art and crafts, pet therapy and occasional trips out.

    • the occupational therapist has years of experience in stroke rehabilitation so can advise on treatments and self help techniques. Most of the members who vary in age from early 30s to late 70s have had a stroke so are the experts in advice and guidance. Carers and relatives get support from each other plus all other members. We try and get regular visits from Swansea Carers Centre and can also put people in touch with their Local Area Coordinator. Some of our speakers can advise on running a house efficiently and as cheaply as possible or advise on adaptations, such as Care and Repair
