Statement of licensing policy

The Licensing Act 2003 requires us to publish a statement of licensing policy every five years. The policy says how we will carry out our functions as the licensing authority.

We are currently carrying out a consultation on proposed changes to the Statement of Policy for Licensing and Cumulative Impact Assessment. Please have a look at the information and respond here

The statement covers the retail sale of alcohol, the supply of alcohol by or on behalf of a club, the provision of regulated entertainment and the provision of late night refreshment.

As part of the public sector equality duty, we are required to publish annual equality and diversity review reports. These reports demonstrate our progress against the equality objectives and include details of additional work we have undertaken throughout the year.
