Lifelong Learning - Sewing homestyle

Improve your sewing machine skills, whatever your current ability, to make items for your home.

Work on some exciting craft ideas for your home, whether it be your kitchen, lounge, bedroom or the nursery. Personalise your living space, adding your own touch and creativity to the home, including baby's cot organisers, nursery, bags, cushions, organisers, children's items and more. Students will develop new and existing skills including:

  • Inserting zips.
  • Applying piping chord to home furnishings.
  • Applique.
  • Patchwork.

This course will be suitable for absolute beginners and those who want to advance their skills to a higher level. Complete beginners will know how to use a sewing machine to make simple projects at the end of 10 weeks.

Suitable for: Mixed ability.

Duration: 10 weeks.

Course fee: £69 full fee / £48 concessionary fee.

What you will need

Students will need to supply their own tools. Students are not able to bring their own sewing machines into class. A list of tools students can bring will be made available at the start of the course.
