Scams
A scam is a scheme that has been designed to con you out of your money, personal details or goods. It is very difficult to get these back if you have handed them over to scammers.
You can avoid a lot of scams if you know what to look out for. If you look after someone who could be vulnerable to scams there are things you can do to help keep them safe from the scammers.
As well as costing people their money or goods, scams can also cause stress and emotional distress to the person being scammed as well as their family and friends.
