Safer Swansea partnership

Making our communities safer places to live and work in by working in partnership to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.

Safer Swansea's priorities are:

It plans and carries out projects and activities to tackle local crime issues covering everything from pubs and clubs using toughened plastic glasses to taxi marshals, CCTV coverage and home security.

  • Swansea's CCTV system and mobile CCTV vehicle
  • The Safer Swansea and Neath Port Talbot anti-social behaviour reduction team
  • Safer Swansea's domestic abuse forum
  • The business crime reduction partnership and the exclusion scheme
  • Drugs enforcement action in partnership with police using our drug itemiser machines
  • Developing crime reduction projects to reduce crime and vulnerability to crime
  • Providing reassurance and crime prevention advice to the public through a variety of communication methods
  • Actively engaging with communities face to face to provide reassurance and to address community safety issues people raise through the Partnership and Communities Together (PACT) process
  • The city centre's pick up and drop off point serving the night-time economy.
