Safer Swansea advice
Making our communities safer places to live and work. The police, council, fire, health and probation services, along with many other organisations and charities, work together to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
Safer Swansea has a duty to ensure people are sufficiently protected from a range of real and perceived dangers. This includes:
- crime
- anti-social behaviour
- fire accidents
- providing support and protection for people who are affected by such issues.
It works in the following key areas and plans and carries out projects and activities to tackle local crime issues covering everything from pubs and clubs using toughened plastic glasses to taxi marshals, CCTV coverage and home security.
- alcohol and drugs
- anti-social behaviour
- children and young people
- city centre violent crime
- community cohesion
- safeguarding those at risk
- working together.
