Report a possible scam

If you think you have been the victim of a scam please report it to us using the form. This form can be used by Swansea residents and people outside Swansea who believe the scam took place in our area.

You should also report the scam to Action Fraud online at www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud or phone 0300 123 2040. You can find more information on what to do about scams on our I think a scam has taken place page on this website.

DVLA scams

We often get reports of scam emails and texts claiming to be from the DVLA. Between January and August 2022 there were 31 reports of DVLA scams made through this form from across the UK. The majority of those people had received the same text message. The DVLA do not contact anyone via a text message. If you receive a similar message please do not send any details to them and we do not need you to submit a report to us.

You can find information on How to spot DVLA scams on the Which? website. If you are concerned about any other messages you may receive from the DVLA or other agencies you can report it to us using the form below.

This form can be used to tell Trading Standards at Swansea Council about a potential scam.
