Changes to registration services due to Coronavirus
All death and stillbirth registrations will now be completed by telephone rather than face to face appointments. All other registrations and appointments are completed in person.
Can I still register a birth?
We are registering births on an appointment basis and working through the backlog. New parents should continue to complete the online appointment form and we will contact you in due course to arrange an appointment. Parents do not need to worry about complying with the requirement to register within 6 weeks.

What about copy certificates?
Customers can continue to apply for copy certificates online but we would make you aware that the service is very busy at the moment. We would ask that customers avoid making applications for family history certificates that require lengthy searches.
What about notices of marriage/civil partnerships?
We are currently taking appointments for notices of marriage/civil partnership but appointment availability is limited. Priority is being given to those who have ceremonies already booked within the next couple of months. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any enquiries.
What about citizenship ceremonies?
We are able to arrange small group Citizenship ceremonies. If you have received your invitation letter from the Home Office please email email@example.com with your name and contact details and we will get in touch to arrange an appointment.
What about wedding ceremonies?
Marriages and civil partnerships can now go ahead, however there is currently a high demand and limited availability. Please see our ceremonies page for more information.
