Marriages and civil partnerships

Copy of birth, marriage, civil partnership and death certificates

Certificates can only be issued for births, deaths, marriages or civil partnerships that took place in Swansea.

Fees and payments for registration services

Ceremony fees can be paid with cash, debit or credit card at the Register Office or by credit or debit card over the telephone.

Registering a birth

A birth should be registered within 42 days of the date of birth in the district in which it occurred.

Registering a death

A death should be registered within 5 days of the date of death in the district in which it occurred.

Citizenship ceremonies

Everyone who is accepted for naturalisation as British Citizens are required to take part in a citizenship ceremony.
