Board seeks views on quality of life to help shape city's services

The Swansea Public Services Board is asking people to take 10 minutes to fill out a survey that will help shape its priorities and the vital services its partners deliver.

By people sharing their experiences and stories the board can understand what matters most to residents.

It could be education and training, employment opportunities and business support, climate change and the natural environment, transport, social care or any other issue.

The board is made up of a range of public service partners that include Swansea Council, Natural Resources Wales, Swansea Bay University Health Board, the Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and others.

Cllr Andrea Lewis, who chairs the board, said: "We work together with businesses, community and voluntary groups and citizens to improve Swansea's wellbeing.

"Our aim is to make Swansea a better place for people and for the planet, both now and in the future, but to help us to do this we need a balanced understanding of quality of life in Swansea and how we can improve it.

"Facts and statistics are important but we also need to understand what life is really like for people in Swansea.

"In 2017 the board published its first Assessment of Local Well-being and we are now looking to update and build on this important evidence base.

"We want to understand what matters for individuals in Swansea today and what this means for our economy, our society, our environment and our culture.

"This survey asks the people of Swansea to help us understand the things that matter most to them and their community. By sharing your experiences and stories, you can help us focus on and improve what matters most in Swansea."
