Assessment of Local Well-being 2017 (Swansea PSB)

The evidence base for Swansea's Well-being Plan.

Swansea Public Services Board (PSB) is a partnership of public service agencies who work together to improve local services.  In 2017, the partnership undertook an analysis of different aspects of well-being and this document is its first Assessment of Local Well-being in Swansea.

At the heart of this assessment are 19 different aspects or 'drivers' of well-being and the analysis is structured around these.  Each section looks at Swansea's strengths, changes over time, comparisons with other places, differences within Swansea, perceptions and perspectives (including research and survey evidence), future prospects and what improvement would look like.  However, while we believe that this Assessment is valuable in its own right, its main purpose is to inform a Well-being Plan for Swansea being produced in 2018.

There is still a great deal of further work to be done and plenty of scope for the assessment to be improved.  In the meantime, we hope it will provide a useful resource and stimulate debate and discussion.
