The wood skip will no longer be available at Penlan HWRC from 21 January 2019. Wood waste can still be recycled at Llansamlet HWRC.
This will enable us to monitor and segregate different grades of wood to improve the recycling/treatment of wood waste following close scrutiny from regulators and the Welsh Government over recent months.
Penlan HWRC will have more space to allow for back-up containers for other materials at the site to reduce the likelihood of site users being turned away if containers become full.
