Education penalty notice online payment form

You can pay your penalty notice by using our online payment form.

This form is available in Welsh - click on 'Cymraeg' in the top right corner of your screen.

Swansea Council is the data controller for the personal information you provide on this form. We are collecting this information as part of our obligation under Education (Penalty Notices) (Wales) Regulations 2013. Your information will be used to help us fulfil our legal obligation and will not be used for any other purpose. We will not share your data with third parties unless we are required or permitted to do so by law.

The Education (Penalty Notices) (Wales) Regulations 2013
City and County of Swansea, Local Code of Conduct, for Penalty Notices for Irregular School Attendance

The penalty notice is £60 if paid within 28 days of receipt of the notice.
This rises to £120 if paid after 28 days but within 42 days of receipt.

If payment is not received within 42 days from the date of issue, you may be prosecuted for the offence and therefore be subject to a fine of up to £1000 under section 444(1) and £2,500 under section 444(1A) or up to three months in prison.

Late payments will not be accepted and no payment by instalments.

Part 2 - Payment details
1. Payment of £60 is to be made within 28 days of your notice.
  
  If paid after 28 days but within 42 days, the penalty is doubled to £120.
  
  If you pay this penalty within the time limits you will discharge your liability for the offence and no further action will be taken against you in connection with this offence as set out in your Penalty Notice.
  
  Your Penalty Notice date will be checked against the reference number you have provided on this form.
