Mynydd Bach Y Glo
This is a 34 hectare area of common land, bisected by a railway, containing a range of habitats and is of particular importance due to its location on the urban fringe.
Much of the common is dense bracken or rush pasture, making access difficult.
There is some semi-improved acid grassland on eastern half of the site and marshy grassland to the west or north. Small woodland plantation (coniferous) with oak and poplar between the two grassland areas. There is also a large fishing pond and model aircraft landing area.
