Motorhomes, camper vans and caravan parking

Motorhomes, camper vans or similar are permitted to park in car parks as long as they purchase a valid Pay and Display ticket or a valid stay via the MiPermit app.

If your vehicle occupies more than one bay, even a portion of the adjacent bay, an additional ticket must be purchased.

The adjacent space next to your vehicle is for parking a vehicle and not a place for furniture (e.g. tables, chairs), fresh or waste water containers, barbecues etc. to be placed.

The same applies for a caravan; these are permitted to enter the car park but valid Pay and Display ticket must be purchased for the caravan.

Please note there are no facilities e.g. fresh water, waste water, showers, toilets or power supplies at the sites. Toilet cassettes must not be poured down the drains at the car park as this may cause significant environmental damage. If there is any improper fouling within the car park, the council will seek to recover costs of cleaning.

A Penalty Charge Notice will be issued if the additional bay has no valid stay paid for with your vehicle, fully or partly, occupying that bay.

Please be aware some car parks have height barriers; if your vehicle is damaged by the height barrier, Swansea Council cannot be held liable. However, if damage is caused to the height barrier, the council will reserves the right to claim the cost of the repair from the driver.

CCTV cameras are in operation.

No overnight camping is allowed in any council owned car park. Please contact local campsites where appropriate facilities are available.
