Lliw Reservoirs - Upper and Lower

The reservoirs lie within an area of stunning mountain scenery that characterises the Mawr, north of Swansea.

The lower and upper Lliw reservoirs are surrounded by a mosaic of habitats including bracken, scrub broadleaved woodland and the Biodiversity Action Plan priority habitat, lowland acid grassland. Both sites support a wide diversity of flora and fauna, many of which are considered rare. Birds spotted on site include: Peregrine, Kestrel, Raven, Wheatear, Meadow Pipit & Skylark, Whinchat, Red Kite, Curlew.

Footpaths
There are recreational footpaths around the reservoirs including a 4 mile route suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs at Lower Lliw Reservoir. There is a popular walk to Upper Lliw Reservoir which is part of the Gower Way.

Car
There is a car park at Lower Lliw Reservoir. From J46 of M4 travel north towards Felindre and then follow signs to the reservoir. No car access to Upper Lliw Reservoir.

Buses
Nearest bus stop is a request stop at the base of the drive to the Lower Lliw Reservoir which is approximately 1 mile long.
