Local Development Plan - draft review report

To make sure that Local Development Plans (LDPs) remain up to date, councils are required to review their plans at least once every four years.

The Planning Authority has produced the draft Swansea LDP Review Report for the purpose of public consultation, which sets out the findings of a comprehensive review undertaken of the current LDP. The Review Report identifies the appropriate procedural route for producing the Swansea Replacement LDP (RLDP), and identifies key issues to be considered when taking the replacement process forward.

The Draft Review Report was recently subject to a period of public consultation until 20 April 2023.

What happens next?

Following the consultation period, comments will be considered and any necessary changes to the draft review report will be made before a final version is produced and reported to council members for approval.
