Western Bay is a regional health and social care programme hosted by Swansea Council; it aims to progress and improve integrated health and social care arrangements for the benefit of people living in Swansea, Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot.

To develop and implement a commissioning for complex needs programme on behalf of the Western Bay partners.

How the role most benefits the public

We work to ensure that the individuals with the most complex care needs are looked after to a high standard whilst seeking value for money.

What gives you most pleasure in this role?

The team within the Western Bay Programme office, hosted by Swansea Council - they make coming to work a pleasure. It's satisfying to know that we're supporting individuals with very complex needs and that we help to improve their lives and wellbeing.

Started working for the council

September 2015 - seconded to the Western Bay Programme office team from Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council who I've been employed with since 1995.

Project manager in IT at Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.
