Flying Start
Flying Start is the Welsh Government flagship early years programme for families with children who are under 4 years of age.
The programme aims to make a decisive difference to the life chances of eligible children in identified Flying Start areas,
Flying Start support is only available in areas set by Welsh Government.
Health visiting
The Flying Start Health Team is made up of health visitors, midwives, speech and language therapists and is supported by community nursery nurses.
Quality childcare for 2 to 3 year olds
Flying Start offers funded, high quality, part-time childcare for children between the ages of 2 and 3 years.
Speech, language and communication
The Flying Start Speech and Language Therapy Service are a team of specialist Speech and Language Therapists and associate practitioners.
Parenting
Flying Start offers an entitlement to a parenting service, offering support, advice and information and a friendly place to go and meet other parents.
