Let's count down the days to Easter fun

Residents and visitors will have lots to enjoy this Spring with the pedalos on Singleton Boating Lake, crazy golf at Singleton Park or Southend Gardens and the return of the Swansea Bay Rider Land Train.

The famous Oystermouth Castle landmark will be throwing open its gates for Easter, featuring some great events lined up including Gwerin y Gwyr - a medieval living history day plus guided castle tours and Easter Bunny Hunts.  The council's Sport and Health team are giving people the chance to bounce into spring with a new round of free weekly sessions, including Pilates, Nordic walking and Tai Chi.

The team will also be laying on a packed timetable of fun activities taking place during the Easter holidays for children to enjoy. 

There'll also be a range of cultural fun and games at the Dylan Thomas Centre and the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery where visitors can discover a wonderful collection of art works and ceramics. During the Easter holidays the gallery is bringing back its popular Saturday Art Club and Family Film Club. 

Swansea Museum, Wales' oldest, will also be laying on a number of special events and attractions for Easter. 

Tracey McNulty, Head of Cultural Services at Swansea Council, said: "Now the countdown to Easter in Swansea has really started, the council will be offering a full package of fun and entertainment in the coming weeks.

"The Easter re-opening of Oystermouth Castle after the winter break traditionally marks the start of our holiday season and our staff and volunteers have been busy getting it ready to welcome visitors back to this stunning landmark attraction once again.
