Group dog walk invite to new community hub
Dog owners are invited to join a group dog walk on Sunday November 13 where they can mark Remembrance and then join in a family friendly event.
Swansea's Paws on Patrol crime prevention network is organising the event that will see groups set-off from four locations in Swansea - Cwmbwrla Park, Polly's Park, The Phoenix Centre and Secret Bar and Kitchen at the 10.30am.
Following pre-planned routes and led by guide they will all meet up at Greenhill Parade Community Hub Units near Dyfatty Lights in time for the National Two Minutes' Silence at 11am.
After paying respects there will be a community event with refreshments and stalls running until 2pm.
Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Alyson Pugh, said: "The Dyfatty Dog Day is aimed at people of all ages.
"The purpose is to socialise and get some gentle exercise, mark Remembrance and then find out more about the community hub which has seen a row of former derelict shops brought back into community use."
