Lifelong Learning - Drawing and painting for mixed ability

Learn and develop drawing and painting skills using line, tone, texture and colour to complete exercises and finished artworks.

Use a variety of media such as pencils, charcoal and acrylic paint to develop existing skills or try new techniques. In this mixed ability class, we look at the work of other artists to stimulate ideas and develop our own art appreciation and practice.

Some key elements of the course include:

  • Workshop sessions for individual art practice, supported and shared within the group.
  • Introduction to the work of other artists both historical and contemporary.
  • Structured teaching sessions.
  • A range of media is used throughout the course.

Suitable for: Mixed ability, although not suitable for absolute beginners.

Duration: 10 weeks.

Course fee: £69 full fee / £48 concessionary fee.
