Learn or practice the underpinning skills to improve your drawing and painting.

Whether you are a complete beginner or want to refine your skills, this 10 week programme allows you to express your creativity with a variety of techniques. Learn or practice the underpinning skills to improve your drawing and painting.

This course will help you to build your artistic skills to take your creativity further. Some key elements of the course include:

  • Line, tone and texture.
  • Colour.
  • Perspective and scale.
  • Techniques explored by famous artists.
  • Still life.
  • Portraiture.

Suitable for: Mixed ability. This course is suitable for complete beginners through to experienced and confident artists. No previous experience is required.

Duration: 10 weeks.

Course fee: £69 full fee / £48 concessionary fee.

What you will need

For your first session, you will need cartridge paper, artist pencils and an eraser. For subsequent sessions, you will require watercolour or acrylic paints and a range of paintbrushes. You can discuss this with your tutor at the start of the course.
