Domiciliary care agencies

Information about domiciliary care provided through other agencies.

Domiciliary care agencies, also known as home care, can provide both personal care and practical support to people who need some extra support at home.

Personal care can include help with getting up and going to bed, bathing, dressing, meals and medication. Some care agencies can also provide help with housework and shopping, support to attend social events and 'sitting services' which allow carers to have a break.

A number of domiciliary care agencies operate in the Swansea area. You should make sure that any agency you consider is registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (opens new window). Any care agency you employ should give you written information about the service they will provide to you and how this will be delivered. Make sure you are clear about the charging arrangements before you agree to having a service provided.

Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (opens new window) has a directory of registered care services which you can browse to find registered domiciliary care agencies in Swansea.
