Domestic Abuse Hub (DAH)

The Domestic Abuse Hub (DAH) coordinates and delivers a multi-faceted response to domestic abuse within families. Its key functions include:

  • Information, Advice, and Assistance (IAA): Providing timely and appropriate support for families where domestic abuse is a concern.
  • Equilibrium Programme: A behaviour-change intervention for individuals who perpetrate domestic abuse.
  • Support for Victim / Survivors and Young People: Delivering one-to-one interventions and group support to help individuals rebuild safety and wellbeing.
  • Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Programme: A parenting approach that supports carers in responding to child-to-parent violence and improving family relationships.
  • Responds to Police Protection Notices (PPNs) where domestic abuse is the identified cause of police involvement.
  • Ensures that all domestic abuse contacts are reviewed by a qualified Social Worker within the Hub, who assess risk and determines next steps.

Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) work closely alongside the Hub. They provide specialist support to high-risk victims of domestic abuse, including safety planning, advocacy, and multi-agency coordination.
