Delivery area profiles
Local statistical profiles of the five Delivery Areas in Swansea.
Delivery Areas are geographic areas comprising our most deprived communities. They are the same geographic areas as the former Communities First Clusters. One to One employment support, guidance and training is available locally in these areas through the Welsh Government's Communities for Work and Communities for Work Plus programmes.
Statistical profiles have been developed for each of the five Delivery Areas in Swansea. The Delivery Areas consist of groups of complete Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs), although not always adjacent. Details of their composition, including maps, are in each individual profile:
- (parts of Bonymaen, Llansamlet and St. Thomas wards)
- (parts of Clydach, Morriston and Mynyddbach)
- (all of Penderry, part of Cockett)
- (parts of Castle, Landore and Sketty)
- (all of Townhill, parts of Castle and Landore).
These statistical profiles supplement the Ward Profiles available elsewhere. Where appropriate, the data included represents the sum of the LSOA level statistics for that area, individual component LSOAs (eg for the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation), or the nearest available geography (eg household income estimates at Middle Super Output Area or MSOA level).
