Changes to private rented housing services due to coronavirus

If you are a tenant and have a problem with your property, please contact your landlord or agent first to give them the opportunity to resolve the problem. If you do contact us, we will still need to contact them before we determine what action might be necessary.

There are extended waiting times for inspections of HMOs following submission of a licence application and our HMO Advisory service has been suspended. If you have recently sent us a licence application, please allow 2 - 3 weeks for us to contact you about that.

If your licence is about to expire, but you have not yet made an application, you can still print an application form and either post it to us or e-mail it to  Please do not send cheque payments for fees at the moment. Once we have checked your application we will contact you regarding the payment.
