Contract management
Suppliers will be monitored to make sure they meet with the performance criteria in the contract.
Goods, works and services are to be delivered in line with the requirements set down in the contract, to the given standards. Regular meetings will be held with suppliers where performance and other relevant issues can be talked about to make sure the contract runs smoothly. They will also be used to deal with issues quickly and in the best interests of the council. Poor performance will be raised quickly, so suppliers can address the issues and put them right.
Where suppliers do not address poor performance, this could result in the contract being ended. It is therefore important suppliers clearly understand the contract needs, feel capable of delivering them and read the terms and conditions before tendering.
