The Community Equipment Service
Helping you with day to day living in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.
The Community Equipment Service is a joint partnership between Swansea Bay University Health Board, Swansea Council and Neath Port Talbot Borough County Council.
We loan a range of equipment for adults and children to help with daily living. Examples of things that might be loaned include: toilet seats and commodes, furniture raisers, walking frames, hoists, profiling bed, and pressure care mattresses.
We only loan equipment after a member of hospital or community staff has carried out an assessment and ordered the right equipment for your needs. The equipment is free of charge and loaned to you for your use as long as you need it.
You can call us to:
- Talk to us about the delivery or installation of Community Equipment.
- Tell us when you no longer need any equipment so that we can arrange to collect it from you.
- Let us know if you have a problem with any equipment so that we can visit and resolve the problem for you (our engineers are available 7 days a week). Your safety is our top priority and we want to do everything we can to make sure that your equipment remains safe.
- Let us know if anything changes, such as your address or contact details.
Please note: If you have lifting equipment, we will contact you about servicing.
